Mahe Drysdale has won the Single Sculls FISA World Champion three years in a row (2005, 2006, and 2007). His only Olympic appearance has been in the Coxless Four event in the 2004 Athens Games. I tough competition with former Olympic Gold medalist Rob Waddell landed Drysdale New Zealand's only single sculls slot. In a few months we will see if three time World Champion Mahe Drysdale can chalk up his first Olympic Gold.
