Women's Lightweight Double Sculls

It is universally agreed that the taller and stronger rowers have a distinct advantage over the shorter leaner rowers. To even the playing field, so to speak, the Lightweight classification was added in both the male and female events. Each female competitor in a lightweight rowing event must be under 59 kg (72.5 kg for men) and the average of the crew must be 57 kg or less (70 kg or less for men).
