The Bottom Moose River starts off with a bang. Shortly after you put-in at the Fowlerville Bridge you will paddle across a pool of flatwater just above this 60 foot high slide that makes the drop in less than 40 feet! Be sure to paddle into an eddy on river left above the little ledges that lead up to the drop and scout the slide. You can hike down to the bottom or scout from atop. Be sure to keep your paddle away from your face as near the bottom of the slide. More than one paddler has come surface with a broken nose. Also, be ready to brace and paddle hard through the hole at the bottom. There's no telling what your boat will do. And oh yeah, nose plugs are always a good idea on this one. Have fun!
