Kayaking on the Bottom Moose River in Upstate New York

Crystal Fall is one of the most famed rapids to kayak on the Bottom Moose River. It consists of a series of ledges, holes, and a powerful drop at the end. The more common line is a river-right route where you kayak over two ledges, a tricky left hand turn, and then an immediate right over the falls. The hero line involves a straight ahead approach down the river-left channel which includes a very intimidating boof and going over the same falls at the end.
