Women's Canoe/Kayak Flatwater K-2 Race

Women compete in the Canoe/Kayak Flatwater K-2 event at the "Good Luck Beijing" Games in August of 2007.

As is pictured here, Canoe/Kayak K-2 competitors paddle in perfect unison with their partner. K-1, K-2, or K-4 competitors actually sit in the kayak unlike the canoeists who kneel in their C-1 or C-2 flatwater canoes. Another marked difference between the canoe and kayak events is that the C-1 and C-2 paddlers use a single-bladed paddle while the K-1, K-2, and K4 paddlers use a double-bladed paddle.
