Definition of Whitewater Canoe

Definition: a canoe made to be paddled in the rapids of swift moving rivers, also known as whitewater. The paddler in a whitewater canoe kneels in the canoe and uses a paddle with one blade. Some whitewater canoes are "closed" boats where the canoeist is enclosed in the canoe.
