Freshwater Paddling in Fort Myers

When people think of Fort Myers they usually think of beaches, and shells, fishing, and kayaking and sunny vacations.  You know, salt water types of things.  But Fort Myers has one awesome park in the Lees County Park System known as Lakes Regional Park.  This park has something for the whole family, from playgrounds and splash pads for the kids, to gardens and other attractions for the more refined, and of interest to this site, some great freshwater paddling for us kayakers and canoeists.
