Ned's Gulch on the Merced River

Ned's Gulch on the Merced River is the the highlight of an already exciting stretch of whitewater.  This Class IV section is easily observable from Route 140 attracting awestruck spectators as well as striking fear in the the hearts of would be kayakers.  If you've ever traveled into Yosemite National Park you passed right by this iconic stretch of the Merced.  Next time take a second to check it out on your way into to see El Cap.
