Who would guess that the party hub of the Southern U.S., South Florida, would have a great tucked away place to paddle? But that's just what Oleta River State Park is. More popularly known for its Mountain Biking (I know, another enigma), Oleta River has a great mix of tight mangrove trails to navigate with wide open paddling in the Biscayne Bay.
So, the next time you're headed to the beach in North Miami and notice all those trees on the south side of 163rd street, pull in and check out the kayaking at Oleta River State Park.
