One More Day of Shark Week!

With the London Olympics closing ceremonies last weekend many of us feared going through withdrawal symptoms with nothing regular and exciting to come home and watch each night.  Luckily, Discovery Channel aptly timed their 25th Anniversary of Shark Week to coincide with the ending of the Olympics.  All week long many of us have watched as Jaws soared through the air after decoy seals being towed behind the boats of researchers.  And what paddler out there didn't have mixed feelings when they watch that kayaker or that paddleboarder with that great white circling below.  It sure makes for good television!

But the truth is we kayakers and SUPers do come into contact with wildlife and rather regularly paddle in search of sharks, whales, dolphins, and seals.

So enjoy the last day of the 25th Anniversary of Shark Week and of course be safe out there during your own shark explorations.
