Great White Shark Follows Kayaker in Cape Cod

Shark sightings and encounters seem to be making the news with Shark Week only one month away.  I wonder if the Discovery Channel has something to do with this recent phenomenon.

At any rate, there have been two notable Great White Shark encounters with kayakers in the last couple of days.  One shark attack was on the west coast off of Santa Cruz and the kayaker has the shark teeth embedded in the kayak to prove it.  The other great white shark encounter occurred in Cape Cod on the east coast of the country.  That first time paddler has a slew of photos to remember his experience, as if he could ever forget.

While I've gone paddling with dolphins, seals, sea lions, sea otters, manatees,  and alligators, I've never seen a shark while kayaking.  I kind of like the idea of seeing one, but would probably react much like the guy in Cape Cod and quickly paddle in to shore.
