How young is too young to paddle? That's a question we've discussed here before. Is the answer any different if I change "paddle" to "go kayak fishing"?
How about if the question were, how young is too young to take your child kayak fishing for sharks in open water?
Does that change things at all?
Well, after this video and story of a father and son catching a 7 foot black tip shark from a kayak out in the Gulf of Mexico went viral, many people asked that very question. Some even contacted child protective services, who thankfully deemed that what they saw did not constitute abuse or neglect.
