What a beautiful start to the weekend here in West Virginia! Paddling on Friday was just killer. A little bit of warmth from the sun coupledc with a a nice breeze along the river always makes for a great day on the water.
Gauley Fest officially began Thursday night, but vendors were still setting up for Friday night's opening at 5 o'clock. The band is about to take the stage and the festivities will continue through to Sunday morning. There's still time to enjoy the party and if today was any indication, the weather will be just perfect for both paddling and the festival.
