Florida Bay Outfitters in the Florida Keys is hosting two Kayak Instructor Certification courses all next week. For those of you who are unaware, The American Canoe Association (ACA) is the governing body in the U.S. for the paddling world. Pretty stringent requirements must be met before they will certify someone a canoe or kayak instructor. This process is known as the Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) and the Instructor Certification Exam (ICE).
The first IDW/ICE round starts this Saturday and goes until Tuesday. The next course starts on Thursday, February 11th and goes until Sunday, February 14th.
