Contact Your Representative: Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009

Having already passed the Senate vote, the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 has huge implications for wilderness areas (including rivers and waterways) in West Virginia, Virginia, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Colorado. This bill is now up for a vote in the House of Representatives.

As concerned citizens who benefit from having our national resources properly managed, it would behoove all of us to know what is going on with this important piece of legislation, how it will affect these areas, and what the implications are for the future bills that may be on the horizon.

I don’t see where land grabbing by the Federal Government is going to help “maintain” the public parks system. Even though, New Mexico could use the water source, creating a memorial to Clinton in Hope isn’t worth the effort.
