Flooding Means Paddling

Monday March 10, 2008

Ooff! What crazy weather! The winter storm is leaving the Eastern United States but not without having a huge impact on the landscape that it pummeled. Each region from Texas to New Hampshire is seeing the residual affects of that storm. This is great news for paddlers. Weather.com is reporting that 97 rivers have flooding with 9 of them reporting moderate flooding. This, of course, is a paddler's dream. Even Florida's paddlers are reaping the benefits of the recent weather system boasting cool temperatures and low humidity. These two effects make a perfect combination for paddling in the Southeast. Wherever you call home, enjoy these conditions and don't worry if they still aren't to your liking. Spring is right around the corner and fair temperatures will shortly follow.

Couldn’t figure out how else to contact you, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place. Just wanted to add a paddling festival:
Lockapalooza
Lock 32 Whitewater Park
Rochester, NY
August 16-17
