The Joys of Paddling Festivals

Tuesday February 26, 2008

If there is one thing hard core kayakers and canoeists enjoy almost as much as paddling it's talking about paddling. Of course we like looking at gear an awful lot also. We pretty much want to do, look at, talk about, and associate ourselves as much as we possibly can with our sport. I can think of no better way to do this than by going to Paddling Festivals.

Paddling festivals come in all varieties and formats. There are whitewater festivals and there are sea kayaking expos. They can be as small as a free rolling clinic on a lake somewhere to as large as full weekend of bands, auctions, contests, and giveaways. Whatever the case, it is an opportunity for paddlers to get together and do what they love best. It is also a fantastic way to include family and friends on the excitement and adventure.

If you've never been to a paddling festival or you are trying to plan your next trip to one check out the article "Experience The Joy of Canoe and Kayak Festivals."
